ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3356
Urwah ibn Zubair narrated that once, while traveling from Madinah to Syria, I had the honor of accompanying Ibn Abbas. During the journey, I asked him if the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had appointed anyone as his successor. Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith until Ibn Abbas said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not miss a single congregational prayer even during his final illness. When the Prophet's condition worsened, he came out leaning between two men, dragging his feet on the ground, to lead the prayer. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away in this state without appointing any successor.

ارقم بن شرحبیل رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ مجھے مدینہ منورہ سے شام کا سفر کرتے ہوئے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی رفاقت نصیب ہو گئی، میں نے ان سے دوران سفر پوچھا کہ کیا نبی ﷺ نے کسی کو اپنا وصی بنایا ہے؟ پھر راوی نے پوری حدیث ذکر کی یہاں تک کہ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے مرض الوفات میں بھی کوئی نماز جماعت سے نہیں چھوڑی، جب آپ ﷺ کی طبیعت بہت زیادہ بوجھل ہو گئی تب بھی آپ ﷺ دو آدمیوں کے درمیان سہارا لے کر اس طرح تشریف لائے کہ آپ ﷺ کے دونوں مبارک پاؤں زمین پر لکیر کھینچتے آ رہے تھے، نبی ﷺ کا وصال اسی حال میں ہو گیا کہ آپ ﷺ نے کسی کو اپنا وصی نہ بنایا۔
Arqam bin Sharjeel rehmatullah alaihi kehte hain ki aik martaba mujhe Madina Munawwara se Sham ka safar karte hue Syedna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki rifakat naseeb ho gai, maine un se dauran safar poocha ki kya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi ko apna vasi banaya hai? phir ravi ne poori hadees zikar ki yahan tak ke Syedna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne marz ul wafat mein bhi koi namaz jamaat se nahi chori, jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki tabiyat bohat zyada bojhal ho gai tab bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) do aadmiyon ke darmiyan sahara lekar is tarah tashreef laye ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke donon mubarak paon zameen par lakeer khenchte aa rahe the, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka wisal isi hal mein ho gaya ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi ko apna vasi na banaya.
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَرْقَمِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، قَالَ: سَافَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى الشَّامِ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ أَوْصَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ، وَقَالَ:" مَا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى ثَقُلَ جِدًّا، فَخَرَجَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ، وَإِنَّ رِجْلَيْهِ لَتَخُطَّانِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، فَمَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَمْ يُوصِ".
