Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3374
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), that once during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a solar eclipse occurred. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the people in prayer, and during this prayer, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood for a long Qayam (standing posture), perhaps as long as it takes to recite Surah Al-Baqarah. Then he performed a long Ruku' (bowing), and after rising from Ruku', he stood for a long while, but this Qayam was shorter than the first. Then he performed another long Ruku', shorter than the first one. Then he prostrated and stood up, and in the second Rak'ah (unit of prayer) also, he observed a long Qayam, though shorter than the first Rak'ah. He then performed a long Ruku', again shorter than before. After rising from Ruku', he performed Qayam and Ruku' twice more as before, then prostrated, offered Salam (salutation), and finished the prayer. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, the solar eclipse had ended. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They are eclipsed neither for the death of anyone nor for the life of anyone. So when you see this, remember Allah.” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: “O Messenger of Allah! We felt as if you were trying to catch something while standing in your place, then you went back?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “I saw Paradise and I was about to grab a bunch of grapes, if I had taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as this world remains. And I saw Hellfire, I have never seen such a horrible sight before, and I saw that the majority of its dwellers were women.” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) inquired about the reason, to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "Because of their Kufr (disbelief)." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "(Not that, but rather) they are ungrateful to their husbands and do not appreciate their kindness. Even if you were to treat one of them with kindness all your life, and then she suffers a slight inconvenience from you, she would say, 'I have never seen any good from you.'"

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ عہد نبوت میں سورج گرہن ہوا، نبی ﷺ نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی، اس نماز میں آپ ﷺ نے طویل قیام کیا، غالبا اتناجتنی دیر میں سورہ بقرہ پڑھی جا سکے، پھر طویل رکوع کیا، پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھا کر دیر تک کھڑے رہے، لیکن یہ قیام پہلے کی نسبت کم تھا، پھر طویل رکوع کیا جو کہ پہلے رکوع کی نسبت کم تھا، پھر سجدے کر کے کھڑے ہوئے اور دوسری رکعت میں بھی طویل قیام کیا جو کہ پہلی رکعت کی نسبت کم تھا، پھر طویل رکوع کیا لیکن وہ بھی کچھ کم تھا، رکوع سے سر اٹھا کر قیام و رکوع حسب سابق دوبارہ کیا، سجدہ کیا اور سلام پھیر کر نماز سے فارغ ہو گئے۔ جب نبی ﷺ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو سورج گرہن ختم ہو چکا تھا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، جنہیں کسی کی موت سے گہن لگتا ہے اور نہ کسی کی زندگی سے، اس لئے جب تم ایسی کیفیت دیکھو تو اللہ کا ذکر کیا کرو“، صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! ہمیں ایسا محسوس ہوا تھا کہ جیسے آپ نے اپنی جگہ پر کھڑے کھڑے کسی چیز کو پکڑنے کی کوشش کی پھر آپ پیچھے ہٹ گئے؟ فرمایا: ”میں نے جنت کو دیکھا تھا اور انگوروں کا ایک گچھا پکڑنے لگا تھا، اگر میں اسے پکڑ لیتا تو تم اسے اس وقت تک کھاتے رہتے جب تک دنیا باقی رہتی، نیز میں نے جہنم کو بھی دیکھا، میں نے اس جیسا خوفناک منظر آج سے پہلے نہیں دیکھا اور میں نے جہنم میں عورتوں کی اکثریت دیکھی ہے“، صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے اس کی وجہ پوچھی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے“، صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے پوچھا: کیا وہ اللہ کے ساتھ کفر کرتی ہیں؟ فرمایا: ”(یہ مراد نہیں، بلکہ مراد یہ ہے کہ) وہ شوہر کی ناشکری کرتی ہیں اور احسان نہیں مانتیں، اگر آپ ان میں سے کسی کے ساتھ زندگی بھر احسان کرتے رہو اور اسے تم سے ذرا سی کوئی تکلیف پہنچ جائے تو وہ فورا کہہ دے گی کہ میں نے تو تجھ سے کبھی بھلائی دیکھی ہی نہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba ahd nubuvvat mein suraj grahan hua, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon ko namaz parhayi, is namaz mein aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne taveel qayam kiya, ghaliban itna jitni der mein Surah Baqarah parhayi ja sake, phir taveel ruku kiya, phir ruku se sar utha kar der tak khare rahe, lekin ye qayam pehle ki nisbat kam tha, phir taveel ruku kiya jo ki pehle ruku ki nisbat kam tha, phir sajday kar ke khare huye aur dusri rakat mein bhi taveel qayam kiya jo ki pehli rakat ki nisbat kam tha, phir taveel ruku kiya lekin wo bhi kuchh kam tha, ruku se sar utha kar qayam o ruku hasb sabiq dobara kiya, sajda kiya aur salam pher kar namaz se farigh ho gaye. Jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz se farigh huye to suraj grahan khatam ho chuka tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Suraj aur chand Allah ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain, jinhen kisi ki maut se grahan lagta hai aur na kisi ki zindagi se, is liye jab tum aisi kefiyat dekho to Allah ka zikr kiya karo", Sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya: Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! humein aisa mehsoos hua tha ki jaise aap ne apni jagah par khare khare kisi cheez ko pakadne ki koshish ki phir aap peechhe hat gaye? Farmaya: "Maine jannat ko dekha tha aur anguron ka ek guchha pakadne laga tha, agar main ise pakad leta to tum ise is waqt tak khate rahte jab tak duniya baqi rehti, niz maine jahannam ko bhi dekha, maine is jaisa khaufnak manzar aaj se pehle nahin dekha aur maine jahannam mein auraton ki aksariyat dekhi hai", Sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne is ki wajah poochhi to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "In ke kufr ki wajah se", Sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne poochha: kya wo Allah ke sath kufr karti hain? Farmaya: "(Ye murad nahin, balki murad ye hai ki) wo shohar ki nashukri karti hain aur ehsan nahin maanti, agar aap in mein se kisi ke sath zindagi bhar ehsan karte raho aur ise tum se zara si koi takleef pahunch jaye to wo foran kah degi ki maine to tujh se kabhi bhalayi dekhi hi nahin.".
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: خَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ، فَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا، قَالَ: نَحْوًا مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ القيامِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتْ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ، لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ، وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ"، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، رَأَيْنَاكَ تَنَاوَلْتَ شَيْئًا فِي مَقَامِكَ هَذَا، ثُمَّ رَأَيْنَاكَ تَكَعْكَعْتَ. قَالَ:" إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ أُرِيتُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَلَمْ يَشُكَّ إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَتَنَاوَلْتُ مِنْهَا عُنْقُودًا، وَلَوْ أَخَذْتُهُ لَأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ مَا بَقِيَتْ الدُّنْيَا، وَرَأَيْتُ النَّارَ، فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ مَنْظَرًا أَفْظَعَ، وَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ"، قَالُوا: لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ:" بِكُفْرِهِنَّ"، قَالَ: أَيَكْفُرْنَ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؟ قَالَ:" لَا، وَلَكِنْ يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ، وَيَكْفُرْنَ الْإِحْسَانَ، لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ، ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا، قَالَتْ: مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ".
