The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3375
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Fazl (may Allah be pleased with him) that at the time of Hajj-al-Wida (Farewell Pilgrimage), a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). At that time, Sayyiduna Fazl (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting in a row with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She said: "O Messenger of Allah! The obligation of Hajj has become due on my father, but he is so old that he cannot even sit on a mount. If I perform Hajj on his behalf, will it be fulfilled for him?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes!" Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Fazl (may Allah be pleased with him) started looking at the woman intently because she was very beautiful. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) noticed this and turned Sayyiduna Fazl's (may Allah be pleased with him) face to the other side.

سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر قبیلہ خثعم کی ایک عورت نبی ﷺ کے پاس آئی، اس وقت سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے ردیف تھے، وہ کہنے لگی: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! حج کے معاملے میں میرے والد پر اللہ کا فریضہ عائد ہو چکا ہے لیکن وہ اتنے بوڑھے ہو چکے ہیں کہ سواری پر بھی نہیں بیٹھ سکتے، اگر میں ان کی طرف سے حج کر لوں تو کیا وہ ادا ہو جائے گا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں!“ اس دوران سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ اس عورت کو مڑ مڑ کر دیکھنے لگے کیونکہ وہ عورت بہت خوبصورت تھی، نبی ﷺ نے یہ دیکھ کر سیدنا فضل رضی اللہ عنہ کا چہرہ دوسری جانب موڑ دیا۔
Sayyiduna Fazal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Hajjat al-Wida ke mauke par qabila Khath'am ki ek aurat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas aai, us waqt Sayyiduna Fazal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke radif the, wo kahne lagi: Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Hajj ke mamle mein mere walid par Allah ka fariza aaid ho chuka hai lekin wo itne budhe ho chuke hain ki sawari par bhi nahin baith sakte, agar mein un ki taraf se Hajj kar lun to kya wo ada ho jayega? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: " Haan! " Is dauran Sayyiduna Fazal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) us aurat ko mud mud kar dekhne lage kyunki wo aurat bahut khubsurat thi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye dekh kar Sayyiduna Fazal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka chehra dusri janib mor diya.
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ الْفَضْلُ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ تَسْتَفْتِيهِ، فَجَعَلَ الْفَضْلُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا وَتَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ، فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا، لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَثْبُتَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ، أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ:" نَعَمْ" وَذَلِكَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ.
