The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3487
Abdul Rahman bin Abza said that I asked Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: Have you attended Eid with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him? He said: Yes! If I had no relation with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, I would never have been present on this occasion because of my childhood, and he said that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came and offered two rak'ahs of Eid prayer near Dar كثير بن الصلت, then delivered the sermon, and preached to the women and ordered them to give charity, so they took off their ornaments from their ears and necks and gave them to Bilal, may Allah be pleased with him, for charity.

عبدالرحمن بن عابس کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا: کیا آپ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ عید کے موقع پر شریک ہوئے ہیں؟ فرمایا: ہاں! اگر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ میرا تعلق نہ ہوتا تو اپنے بچپن کی وجہ سے میں اس موقع پر کبھی موجود نہ ہوتا، اور فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے اور دار کثیر بن الصلت کے قریب دو رکعت نماز عید پڑھائی، پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا، اور عورتوں کو وعظ و نصیحت کی اور انہیں صدقہ دینے کا حکم دیا، چنانچہ انہوں نے اپنے کانوں اور گلوں سے اپنے زیورات اتارے اور انہیں صدقہ کرنے کے لئے سیدنا بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کو دے دیا۔
Abdulrahman bin Aabis kehte hain ke maine Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se poocha: kya aap Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Eid ke mauqe par sharik hue hain? Farmaya: haan! agar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath mera ta'alluq na hota to apne bachpan ki wajah se main is mauqe par kabhi maujood na hota, aur farmaya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef laaye aur Daar Kaseer bin Al-Salt ke qareeb do rakat namaz Eid padhayi, phir khutba irshad farmaya, aur auraton ko waaz o nasihat ki aur unhen sadqa dene ka hukm diya, chunancha unhon ne apne kaanon aur galon se apne zewarat utaare aur unhen sadqa karne ke liye Sayyiduna Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko de diya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَسُئِلَ: هَلْ شَهِدْتَ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ:" نَعَمْ، وَلَوْلَا قَرَابَتِي مِنْهُ مَا شَهِدْتُهُ مِنَ الصِّغَرِ، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْعَلَمَ الَّذِي عِنْدَ دَارِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، فَوَعَظَ النِّسَاءَ، وَذَكَّرَهُنَّ، وَأَمَرَهُنَّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَهْوَيْنَ إِلَى آذَانِهِنَّ وَحُلُوقِهِنَّ فَتَصَدَّقْنَ بِهِ، قَالَ: فَدَفَعْنَهُ إِلَى بِلَالٍ".
