The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3514
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that he said: Once I spent the night with my paternal aunt, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). She then narrated the whole incident and said: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the bowing (Ruku'). I saw that in the bowing position you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were saying: "Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great." Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised your head and glorified Allah as long as you deemed it appropriate. Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prostrated and in prostration you were saying: "Glory be to my Lord, the Most High." Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised your head and between the two prostrations you supplicated: "O my Lord, forgive me, have mercy upon me, suffice me, elevate me, provide for me and guide me."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے اپنی خالہ سیدہ میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے یہاں رات گزاری، پھر انہوں نے مکمل حدیث ذکر کر کے فرمایا کہ پھر نبی ﷺ نے رکوع کیا، میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ رکوع میں «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيْمِ» کہہ رہے تھے، پھر آپ ﷺ نے اپنا سر اٹھایا اور اللہ کی تعریف کی جب تک مناسب سمجھا، پھر سجدہ کیا اور سجدے میں «سُبْحَانَ رَبَّيَ الْأَعْلَىٰ» کہتے رہے، پھر سر اٹھا کر دو سجدوں کے درمیان یہ دعا پڑھی: «رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَارْفَعْنِي وَارْزُقْنِي وَاهْدِنِي» ”پروردگار! مجھے بخش دے، مجھ پر رحم فرما، میری تلافی فرما، مجھے رفعت عطا فرما، مجھے رزق عطا فرما اور مجھے ہدایت عطا فرما۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba maine apni khala Sayyida Maymunah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ke yahan raat guzari, phir unhon ne mukammal hadees zikar kar ke farmaya ki phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ruku kia, maine dekha ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ruku mein "Subhana Rabbi al Azeem" keh rahe the, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna sar uthaya aur Allah ki tareef ki jab tak munasib samjha, phir sajdah kia aur sajde mein "Subhana Rabbi al A'la" kehte rahe, phir sar utha kar do sajdon ke darmiyan yeh dua parhi: "Rabbi-gfir li warhamni wajburni warfa'ni warzuqni wahdini" "Parvardigaar! mujhe bakhsh de, mujh par reham farma, meri talafi farma, mujhe rifat ata farma, mujhe rizq ata farma aur mujhe hidayat ata farma.".
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا كَامِلٌ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَ: فَانْتَبَهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ... فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُهُ، قَالَ فِي رُكُوعِهِ:" سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ" ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ مَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَحْمَدَهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، قَالَ: فَكَانَ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ:" سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، قَالَ: فَكَانَ يَقُولُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ": رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي".
