Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4240
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when this blessed verse was revealed: “Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice...” (Al-An'am: 82), it became very difficult for the people and they began to say: O Messenger of Allah! Which one of us is there who has not wronged his own soul? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It does not mean what you understand. Did you not hear what 'Abd Saleh (Luqman, peace be upon him) said, that 'O my dear son! Do not associate anyone with Allah in worship, for shirk (polytheism) is a great injustice.' Shirk is also meant in this verse.”

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جب یہ آیت مبارکہ نازل ہوئی: «﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ . . . . .﴾» [الأنعام: 82] ”وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے اپنے ایمان کو ظلم کے ساتھ مخلوط نہیں کیا . . . . .“ تو لوگوں پر یہ بات بڑی شاق گزری اور وہ کہنے لگے: یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! ہم میں سے کون شخص ہے جس نے اپنی جان پر ظلم نہ کیا ہو؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اس کا وہ مطلب نہیں ہے جو تم مراد لے رہے ہو، کیا تم نے وہ بات نہیں سنی جو عبد صالح (حضرت لقمان علیہ السلام) نے فرمائی تھی کہ ”پیارے بیٹے! اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہرانا کیونکہ شرک بہت بڑا ظلم ہے۔“ اس آیت میں بھی شرک ہی مراد ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki jab yeh ayat mubarakah nazil hui: «﴿alladziina aamanoo wa lam yalbisoo eemanahum bizulmin . . . . .﴾» [alanaam: 82] ”woh log jo imaan laye aur unhon ne apne imaan ko zulm ke sath makhlut nahi kiya . . . . .” to logon par yeh baat badi shaq guzri aur woh kahne lage: Ya Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ! hum mein se kaun shakhs hai jis ne apni jaan par zulm nah kia ho? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”is ka woh matlab nahi hai jo tum murad le rahe ho, kya tum ne woh baat nahi suni jo Abd Saleh (Hazrat Luqman Alaihissalam) ne farmaee thi ki ”pyare bete! Allah ke sath kisi ko sharik nah thehrana kyunki shirk bahut bada zulm hai.“ is ayat mein bhi shirk hi murad hai.“
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ سورة الأنعام آية 82، شَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالُوا: أَيُّنَا لَمْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَيْسَ كَمَا تَظُنُّونَ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ كَمَا قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ: يَا بُنَيَّ لا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ سورة لقمان آية 13".
