Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4554
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Umar (ra) that the Holy Prophet (saw) heard a man advising another regarding modesty (that one should not be so shy). The Holy Prophet (saw) said: "Modesty is a part of faith."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک شخص کو حیاء کے متعلق نصیحت کرتے ہوئے سنا (کہ اتنی بھی حیاء نہ کیا کرو)، نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”حیاء تو ایمان کا حصہ ہے۔“
Sayyedna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek shakhs ko haya ke mutalliq nasihat karte huye suna (keh itni bhi haya na kiya karo), Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Haya to imaan ka hissa hai.“
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّه سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، فَقَالَ:" الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ".
