Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4643
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No person should eat the meat of his sacrifice for more than three days." For this reason, Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would not eat the meat of the sacrificial animal after sunset on the third day (this ruling was later abrogated).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص تین دن سے زیادہ اپنی قربانی کا گوشت نہ کھائے۔“ اسی وجہ سے سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ تیسرے دن کے غروب آفتاب کے بعد قربانی کے جانور کا گوشت نہیں کھاتے تھے (بعد میں یہ حکم منسوخ ہو گیا تھا)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Koi shakhs teen din se ziada apni qurbani ka gosht na khaye“ Isi wajah se Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) teesre din ke ghuroob aftab ke baad qurbani ke jaanwar ka gosht nahin khate the (baad mein yeh hukm mansukh ho gaya tha).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ" وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِذَا غَابَتْ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ لَا يَأْكُلُ مِنْ لَحْمِ هَدْيِهِ".
