Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4711
Our master Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "My wife was disliked by Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He (Umar) said to me, 'Divorce her.' I hesitated and delayed divorcing her, so Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, 'Obey your father.'"

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میری جو بیوی تھی وہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ناپسند تھی انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اسے طلاق دے دو میں نے اسے طلاق دینے میں لیت و لعل کی تو سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس آ گئے نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا کہ اپنے والد کی اطاعت کرو۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ki meri jo biwi thi wo Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko napasand thi unhon ne mujh se kaha ki ise talaq de do main ne ise talaq dene mein lait o laal ki to Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aa gaye Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya ki apne wald ki itaat karo.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ خَالِهِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ كَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا، فَقَالَ: طَلِّقْهَا، فَأَبَيْتُ، فَأَتَى عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" أَطِعْ أَبَاكَ".
