Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4731
It is narrated on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to stay in Makkah Mukarramah during the days of Mina in order to serve the pilgrims by providing them with water. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted him permission.

نافع رحمہ اللہ کے حوالے سے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ سیدنا عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے کی خدمت میں سر انجام دینے کے لئے نبی کریم ﷺ سے منٰی کے ایام میں مکہ مکرمہ میں ہی رہنے کی اجازت چاہی تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔
Nafey rehmatullah aleh k hawaley se Sayyidna Ibn e Umar raziAllahu anhuma se marvi hai keh Sayyidna Abbas raziAllahu anhu ne hagion ko pani pilane ki khidmat mein sar anjam dene k liye Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se miny k ayam mein Makkah Mukarramah mein hi rehne ki ijazat chahi to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhein ijazat de di.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ،" فَأَذِنَ لَهُ".
