Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4845

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The example of the one who memorizes the Quran is like the owner of a tied camel. If he keeps it tied, he will control it, but if he lets it loose, it will go away.”


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”حامل قرآن کی مثال بندھے ہوئے اونٹ کے مالک کی طرح ہے جسے اس کا مالک باندھ کر رکھے تو وہ اس کے قابو میں رہتا ہے اور اگر کھلاچھوڑ دے تو وہ نکل جاتا ہے۔“

Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Hamil Quran ki misal bandhe hue unt ke malik ki tarah hai jise us ka malik bandh kar rakhe to woh us ke qabu mein rehta hai aur agar khula chhor de to woh nikal jata hai.“.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْقُرْآنِ مَثَلُ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ، إِنْ تَعَاهَدَهَا صَاحِبُهَا بِعُقُلِهَا، أَمْسَكَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَ عُقُلَهَا، ذَهَبَتْ".
