Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5011
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: “I had a wife whom I loved very much, but Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked her. He said to me, ‘Divorce her.’ I hesitated to divorce her. So, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! The wife of Abdullah bin Umar, I do not like her. I am telling him to divorce her, but he does not listen to me.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, ‘O Abdullah! Divorce your wife.’ So, I divorced her.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے، کہتے ہیں میری جو بیوی تھی، مجھے اس سے بڑی محبت تھی، لیکن وہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ناپسند تھی، انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اسے طلاق دے دو، میں نے اسے طلاق دینے میں لیت و لعل کی، تو سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس آ گئے، اور عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ!! عبداللہ بن عمر کے نکاح میں جو عورت ہے، مجھے وہ پسند نہیں ہے، میں اسے کہتا ہوں کہ اسے طلاق دے دے، تو وہ میری بات نہیں مانتا نبی ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا کہ عبداللہ! اپنی بیوی کو طلاق دے دو، چنانچہ میں نے اسے طلاق دے دی۔
Sayyidina Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai, kahte hain meri jo biwi thi, mujhe us se bari mohabbat thi, lekin woh Sayyidina Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko napasand thi, unhon ne mujh se kaha ke use talaq de do, main ne use talaq dene mein leit o laal ki, to Sayyidina Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aa gaye, aur arz kiya, Ya Rasulullah!! Abdullah bin Umar ke nikah mein jo aurat hai, mujhe woh pasand nahin hai, main use kahta hun ke use talaq de de, to woh meri baat nahin manta Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya ke Abdullah! apni biwi ko talaq de do, chunancha main ne use talaq de di.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا، وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا، فَأَبَيْتُ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً كَرِهْتُهَا لَهُ، فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا، فَأَبَى، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ،" طَلِّقْ امْرَأَتَكَ"، فَطَلَّقْتُهَا.
