Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5013
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade “Hantam,” Someone asked, “What is that?” He said: “A clay pot in which alcoholic drinks are prepared (or fermented).”.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے «حنتمه» سے منع فرمای ہے، کسی نے پوچھا: وہ کیا چیز ہے؟ فرمایا: ”وہ مٹکا جو نبیذ (یا شراب کشید کرنے کے لئے) استعمال ہوتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne «Hantamah» se mana farmaya hai, kisi ne poocha: wo kya cheez hai? Farmaya: ”wo matka jo nabidh (ya sharaab kashid karne ke liye) istemal hota hai.“.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَبَهْزٌ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، قَالَ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْحَنْتَمَةِ"، قُلْتُ لَهُ: مَا الْحَنْتَمَةُ؟ قَالَ: الْجَرَّةُ.
