Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5135
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Trim your mustaches closely and grow your beards long."
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”مونچھیں خوب اچھی طرح کتروایا کرو اور ڈاڑھی خوب بڑھایا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Moochein khoob acchi tarah katarvaya karo aur dari khoob barhaya karo."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ: هُوَ ابْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَعْفُوا اللِّحَى، وَحُفُّوا الشَّوَارِبَ".
