Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5187
Taoos relates that a person asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prohibit Nabidh from a jar?" He replied, "Yes." Taoos said, "By Allah! I have heard this myself."

طاؤس کہتے ہیں کہ کسی شخص نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا، کیا نبی ﷺ نے مٹکے کی نبیذ سے منع فرمایا ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ہاں طاؤس کہتے ہیں، بخدا! یہ بات میں نے خود سنی ہے۔
Taous kehte hain ke kisi shakhs ne Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se poocha, kya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne matke ki nabidh se mana farmaya hai? Unhon ne farmaya: Haan Taous kehte hain, bukhuda! Yeh baat maine khud suni hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، سُئِلَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ:" نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ"، وقَالَ طَاوُسٌ: وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ.
