Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5208
Sa'id ibn Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "Is the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) not an example for you? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer the Witr prayer while riding his camel."

سعید بن یسار رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے مجھ سے فرمایا کیا نبی ﷺ کی ذات میں تمہارے لئے نمونہ موجود نہیں ہے؟ نبی ﷺ اپنے اونٹ پر ہی وتر پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ : أَمَا لَكَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ؟! كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُوتِرُ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ".
