Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5315
Narrated by Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The example of the carrier of the Quran is like the owner of a tied camel. If he keeps it tied, he will control it, but if he lets it loose, it will go away."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”حامل قرآن کی مثال بندھے ہوئے اونٹ کے مالک کی طرح ہے، جسے اس کا مالک اگر باندھ کر رکھے تو وہ اس کے قابو میں رہتا ہے اور اگر کھلاچھوڑ دے تو وہ نکل جاتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Hamil Quran ki misaal bandhe huye unt ke malik ki tarah hai, jise uska malik agar bandh kar rakhe to woh uske qaboo mein rehta hai aur agar khula chhod de to woh nikal jata hai.“
قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَثَلِ صَاحِبِ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ، إِنْ عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهَا أَمْسَكَهَا، وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَهَا ذَهَبَتْ".
