Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5431
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If a Muhrim does not find shoes, then he should wear socks, but he should cut off the part below the ankles.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا:”اگر محرم کو جوتے نہ ملیں تو وہ موزے ہی پہن لے لیکن ٹخنوں سے نیچے کا حصہ کاٹ لے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya agar muharram ko joote na milen to wo moze hi pehen le lekin takhno se neeche ka hissa kaat le.
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ، وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا مِنْ عِنْدِ الْكَعْبَيْنِ".
