Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5472
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): A man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah, what clothes can we wear in ihram?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "A person in ihram cannot wear a shirt, pants, a turban, or socks unless he cannot find shoes. If a person cannot find shoes, then he should cut his socks below the ankles and wear them. Similarly, a person in ihram cannot wear a cap or any cloth that has saffron or wars (a type of plant) on it."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم احرام باندھ لیں تو کون سے کپڑے پہن سکتے ہیں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ محرم قمیض، شلوار، عمامہ اور موزے نہیں پہن سکتا الاّ یہ کہ اسے جوتے نہ ملیں، جس شخص کو جوتے نہ ملیں اسے چاہئے کہ وہ موزوں کو ٹخنوں سے نیچے کاٹ کر پہن لے، اسی طرح ٹوپی یا ایسا کپڑا جس پر ورس نامی گھاس یا زعفران لگی ہوئی ہو وہ بھی محرم نہیں پہن سکتا۔“
Syedna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki aik aadmi ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha: Ya Rasulullah! hum ehram bandh len to kon se kapre pehan sakte hain? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki muhrim qameez, shalwar, amama aur moze nahi pehan sakta illa ye ki use joote na milen, jis shakhs ko joote na milen use chahiye ki wo mozon ko takhnon se neeche kaat kar pehan le, isi tarah topi ya aisa kapra jis par wars nami ghaas ya zaffran lagi hui ho wo bhi muhrim nahi pehan sakta.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ ، وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً: أِنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا؟ قَالَ:" لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ، وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ، وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ، وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ، وَلَا الْخِفَافَ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ، فَيَلْبَسَ الْخُفَّيْنِ، وَيَجْعَلَهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ، وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا شَيْئًا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَلَا الْوَرْسُ".
