Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5489
Our master Ibn Umar may Allah be pleased with him narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) divorced his wife in the state of "Iddah". When Umar Farooq may Allah be pleased with him questioned the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it, he said: "Tell her to reconcile with her wife, and when she becomes pure, then divorce her during the days of purity." I asked our master Ibn Umar may Allah be pleased with him, how many times this divorce was counted, he said: "What else."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنی بیوی کو ”ایام“ کی حالت میں طلاق دے دی، سیدنا عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی ﷺ سے اس کا تذکر ہ کیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: ”اسے کہو کہ اپنی بیوی سے رجوع کر لے، جب وہ ”پاک“ ہو جائے تو ان ایام طہارت میں اسے طلاق دے دے۔ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا کیا اس طلاق کو شمار کیا تھا انہوں نے فرمایا: تو اور کیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni biwi ko "ayyam" ki halat mein talaq de di, Sayyidna Umar Farooq (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is ka tazkira kiya to unhon ne farmaya: "Use kaho keh apni biwi se rujoo kar le, jab wo "paak" ho jaye to in ayam e tahaarat mein use talaq de de. Maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se poocha kya is talaq ko shumar kiya tha unhon ne farmaya: to aur kya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ، فَأَتَى عُمَرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَقَالَ:" مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا، ثُمَّ إِذَا طَهُرَتْ فَلْيُطَلِّقْهَا"، قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَحَسِبَ تِلْكَ التَّطْلِيقَةَ؟ قَالَ: فَمَهْ؟!.
