Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5528
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person in the state of Ihram does not find shoes, then he may wear socks, but he should cut them below the ankles."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اگر محرم کو جوتے نہ ملیں تو وہ موزے ہی پہن لے لیکن ٹخنوں سے نیچے کا حصہ کاٹ لے۔“
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Agar muharram ko joote na milen to woh moze hi pehen le lekin takhnon se neeche ka hissa kaat le.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْمُحْرِمِ:" إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ، يَقْطَعُهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ".
