Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5754
'Abdur-Rahman bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that once 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a severed head and said, "What prevents any of you from becoming like the son of Adam (i.e., committing murder) when he intends to kill someone? Remember, the murdered will be in Paradise and the murderer will be in Hellfire."

عبدالرحمن بن سمیرہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے ایک کٹا ہوا سر دیکھا تو فرمایا: تم میں سے کسی آدمی کو ”جب اسے کوئی قتل کر نے کے لئے آئے“ ابن آدم جیسا بننے سے کیا چیز روکتی ہے، یاد رکھو! مقتول جنت میں جائے گا اور قاتل جہنم میں۔
Abdulrehman bin Sameera rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne ek kata hua sar dekha to farmaya: Tum mein se kisi aadmi ko ”jab ise koi qatl karne ke liye aaye“ Ibn Adam jaisa banne se kya cheez rokati hai, yaad rakho! Maqtool jannat mein jayega aur qatil jahannum mein.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سُمَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَأْسًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَا يَمْنَعُ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا جَاءَهُ مَنْ يُرِيدُ قَتْلَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِثْلَ ابْنيْ آدَمَ، الْقَاتِلُ فِي النَّارِ، وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ".
