Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5979
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to keep a Miswak (tooth stick) with him even while he slept, and when he woke up, the first thing he would do was use the Miswak.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس سوتے وقت بھی مسواک ہوتی تھی اور جب آپ ﷺ بیدار ہوتے تو سب سے پہلے مسواک کرتے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas sote waqt bhi miswak hoti thi aur jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bedar hote to sab se pehle miswak karte.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، مَوْلًى لِقُرَيْشٍ، سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ إِلَّا وَالسِّوَاكُ عِنْدَهُ، فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ بَدَأَ بِالسِّوَاكِ".
