Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5982
Abdul Waheed Binani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Once, I was with Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). A man came to him and said, “O Abu Abdur Rahman! I am buying these gardens, and there will be grapes in them. Is it permissible for us to sell the grapes only after squeezing them (for wine)?” Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: “As if you are asking me about the price of wine! I will narrate to you a hadith that I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Once, we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when suddenly, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his head towards the sky, then lowered it and started poking the ground with it, and said: ‘There is destruction for the Children of Israel.’ Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! We are terrified to hear this about the Children of Israel.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘You will not be harmed by it. The reality is that when the fat of animals was prohibited for the Children of Israel, they unanimously agreed to sell it and consume its price. Similarly, the price of wine is also forbidden for you.’”

عبدالواحد بنانی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ تھا، ایک آدمی ان کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا، اے ابوعبدالرحمن! میں یہ باغات خرید رہا ہوں، ان میں انگور بھی ہوں گے، ہم صرف انگوروں کو ہی نہیں بیچ سکتے جب تک اسے نچوڑ نہ لیں؟ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا: گویا تم مجھ سے شراب کی قیمت کے بارے پوچھ رہے ہو، میں تمہارے سامنے ایک حدیث بیان کرتا ہوں جو میں نے نبی ﷺ سے سنی ہے، ہم لوگ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ اچانک آپ ﷺ نے اپنا سر آسمان کی طرف اٹھایا، پھر اسے جھکا کر زمین کو کریدنے لگے اور فرمایا: بنی اسرائیل کے لئے ہلاکت ہے، سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے، اے اللہ کے نبی! ہم تو بنی اسرائیل کے متعلق آپ کی یہ بات سن کر گھبرا گئے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تمہیں اس کا کوئی نقصان نہیں ہو گا، اصل بات یہ ہے کہ جب بنی اسرائیل پر چربی کو حرام قرار دیا گیا تو انہوں نے اتفاق رائے سے اسے بیچ کر اس کی قیمت کھانا شروع کر دی، اسی طرح شراب کی قیمت بھی تم پر حرام ہے۔“
Abdulwaid banani rehmatullah kehte hain ke ek martaba main sayydena ibn e umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke sath tha, ek aadmi un ke pas aaya aur kehne laga, aye abuabdulrahman! main ye bagh khareed raha hun, in main angoor bhi honge, hum sirf anguron ko hi nahi bech sakte jab tak ise nichod na len? Sayydena ibn e umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya: goya tum mujhse sharaab ki qeemat ke bare puch rahe ho, main tumhare samne ek hadees bayaan karta hun jo main ne nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai, hum log ek martaba nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath baithe hue the ke achanak aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna sar aasman ki taraf uthaya, phir ise jhuka kar zameen ko kuredne lage aur farmaya: bani israel ke liye halakat hai, sayydena umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehne lage, aye allah ke nabi! hum to bani israel ke mutalliq aap ki ye baat sun kar ghabra gaye, nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”tumhen iska koi nuqsan nahi hoga, asal baat ye hai ke jab bani israel par charbi ko haram qarar diya gaya to unhon ne ittefaq raaye se ise bech kar iski qeemat khana shuru kar di, isi tarah sharaab ki qeemat bhi tum par haram hai.“.
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِنِّي أَشْتَرِي هَذِهِ الْحِيطَانَ تَكُونُ فِيهَا الْأَعْنَابُ، فَلَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَبِيعَهَا كُلَّهَا عِنَبًا حَتَّى نَعْصِرَهُ، قَالَ: فَعَنْ ثَمَنِ الْخَمْرِ تَسْأَلُنِي؟! سَأُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , كُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذْ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ وَنَكَتَ فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَقَالَ:" الْوَيْلُ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ"، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، لَقَدْ أَفْزَعَنَا قَوْلُكَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَقَالَ:" لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بَأْسٌ، إِنَّهُمْ لَمَّا حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ الشُّحُومُ، فَتَوَاطَئُوهُ، فَيَبِيعُونَهُ، فَيَأْكُلُونَ ثَمَنَهُ، وَكَذَلِكَ ثَمَنُ الْخَمْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ".
