Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6007
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a gold ring made. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to wear it with the stone towards his palm. People also started wearing rings. Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) threw it away on the pulpit and said, “I used to wear this ring and keep its stone inwards. By Allah, I will never wear it again." So, the people also threw away their rings.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے سونے کی انگوٹھی بنوائی اس کا نگینہ آپ ﷺ ہتھیلی کی طرف کر لیتے تھے، لوگوں نے بھی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں جس پر نبی ﷺ نے بر سر منبر اسے پھینک دیا اور فرمایا: میں یہ انگوٹھی پہنتا تھا اور اس کا نگینہ اندر کی طرف کر لیتا تھا واللہ اب میں اسے کبھی نہیں پہنوں گا چنانچہ لوگوں نے بھی اپنی انگوٹھیاں پھینک دیں۔
Sayyidina Ibn Umar RA se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi SAW ne sone ki anguthi banwai iska nageena aap SAW hatheli ki taraf kar lete the, logon ne bhi anguthiyan banwa lien jis per Nabi SAW ne barsar mimbar ise phenk diya aur farmaya: mein yeh anguthi pehenta tha aur iska nageena andar ki taraf kar leta tha wallahi ab mein ise kabhi nahi pehnoon ga chunancha logon ne bhi apni anguthiyan phenk din.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، وَكَانَ يَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ إِذَا لَبِسَهُ، فَصَنَعَ النَّاسُ، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَنَزَعَهُ، فَقَالَ:" إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ، وَأَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ"، فَرَمَى بِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" وَاللَّهِ لَا أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا"، فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ.
