Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6145
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Badr, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood by the well in which the bodies of the chiefs of Quraysh were lying and called out to them, "O people of the well! Did you find the promise of your Lord to be true?" Some of the Companions, including Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are you calling out to dead people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "You are not hearing what I am saying any better than they are."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ غزوہ بدر کے دن اس کنوئیں کے پاس آ کر کھڑے ہوئے جس میں صنادید قریش کی لاشیں پڑی تھیں اور انہیں پکار کر فرمانے لگے اے کنوئیں والو! کیا تم نے اپنے رب کے وعدے کو سچا پایا؟ بعض صحابہ کر ام رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ!! کیا آپ مردوں کو پکار رہے ہیں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: "تم میری بات اتنی ہی اچھی طرح نہیں سن رہے جتنا وہ سن رہے ہیں۔"
Saina Ibne Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Ghazwa Badr ke din is kuen ke paas aa kar khare hue jis mein Sanadeed Quresh ki lashon padi thin aur unhen pukar kar farmane lage ae kuen walo kya tumne apne rab ke wada ko sacha paya baz sahaba karam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah kya aap murdon ko pukar rahe hain Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya "Tum meri baat utni hi achi tarah nahi sun rahay ho jitna wo sun rahay hain."
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ: قَالَ:" اطَّلَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقَلِيبِ , بِبَدْرٍ، ثُمَّ نَادَاهُمْ، فَقَالَ:" يَا أَهْلَ الْقَلِيبِ، هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا؟" قَالَ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَتُنَادِي نَاسًا أَمْوَاتًا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا قُلْتُ مِنْهُمْ".
