Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6163

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to raise his hands up to his shoulders while saying the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) at the commencement of prayer and while bowing and prostrating.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ تکبیر کہہ کرنماز شروع کرتے وقت اور رکوع سجدہ کرتے وقت کندھوں کے برابر رفع یدین کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَحِينَ يَرْكَعُ، وَحِينَ يَسْجُدُ".
