Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6279
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever frees a share of a slave that he owns, then it is upon him to free him completely, provided that he has enough wealth that, according to the estimate of a just man, reaches the price of the slave. If he does not have the wealth, then he will only have freed the portion that he freed."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص کسی غلام کو اپنے حصے کے بقدر آزاد کر دیتا ہے تو اس کے ذمے ہے کہ اسے مکمل آزاد کرے بشرطیکہ اس کے پاس اتنا مال ہو جو عادل آدمی کے اندازے کے مطابق غلام کی قیمت پہنچتا ہو اگر اس کے پاس مال نہ ہو تو جتنا اس نے آزاد کیا ہے اتنا ہی رہے گا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs kisi ghulam ko apne hisse ke baqadr azad kar deta hai to uske zimme hai ki use mukammal azad kare basharte ke uske pass itna maal ho jo adil aadmi ke andaze ke mutabiq ghulam ki qeemat pahunchta ho agar uske pass maal na ho to jitna usne azad kiya hai utna hi rahega.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ، فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ، إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ، عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ".
