Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6653
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Guarding (the Muslims) for one day (in the path of Allah) is better than fasting and praying throughout the entire month (of Ramadan)."

سیدنا ابن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ایک دن کی پہرہ داری ایک مہینے کے صیام و قیام سے بہتر ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Ek din ki pahra dari ek mahine ke siyam o qiyam se behtar hai.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صِيَامِ شَهْرٍ وَقِيَامِهِ".
