Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6765
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Abdullah Ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) seeking permission to participate in Jihad. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Are your parents alive?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go and strive in Jihad by serving them."

سیدنا ابن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس جہاد میں شرکت کی اجازت لینے کے لئے آیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس سے بوچھا کیا تمہارے والدین حیات ہیں اس نے کہا جی ہاں فرمایا: ”جاؤ اور ان ہی میں جہاد کرو۔
Sayyina Ibn Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek aadmi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas jihad mein shirkat ki ijazat lene ke liye aaya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us se poocha kya tumhare waldain hayat hain usne kaha ji haan farmaya jao aur un hi mein jihad karo.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَأْذِنُهُ فِي الْجِهَادِ، فَقَالَ:" أَحَيٌّ وَالِدَاكَ؟"، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:" فَفِيهِمَا فَجَاهِدْ".
