Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7123
It was narrated by Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best of my nation is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them." (Allah knows best whether the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned those who came after them for a third time or not). Then there will come a people who will love obesity and will be quick to give testimony even before being asked to do so.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”میری امت کا بہترین زمانہ وہ ہے جس میں مجھے مبعوث کیا گیا ہے، پھر اس کے بعد والوں کا زمانہ، پھر اس کے بعد والوں کا زمانہ سب سے بہتر ہے۔“ (اب یہ بات اللہ زیادہ جانتا ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے تیسری مرتبہ بھی بعد والوں کا ذکر فرمایا یا نہیں) اس کے بعد ایک ایسی قوم آئے گی جو موٹاپے کو پسند کرے گی اور گواہی کے مطالبے سے قبل ہی گواہی دینے کے لئے تیار ہو گی۔“
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Meri ummat ka behtarin zamana wo hai jis mein mujhe mabus kia gaya hai, phir uske baad walon ka zamana, phir uske baad walon ka zamana sab se behtar hai.” (Ab ye baat Allah zyada janta hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne teesri martaba bhi baad walon ka zikar farmaya ya nahi) Iske baad ek aisi qaum aayegi jo motape ko pasand karegi aur gawahi ke mutalbe se pehle hi gawahi dene ke liye taiyar ho gi.”.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ أَقَالَ الثَّالِثَةَ أَمْ لَا، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ يُحِبُّونَ السَّمَانَةَ، يَشْهَدُونَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْتَشْهَدُوا".
