Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7192
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The example of a believer is like that of a crop which is continually swayed by the wind; similarly, a believer is always afflicted with trials and tribulations. And the example of a hypocrite is like that of a cedar tree, which does not move until it is uprooted."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: مسلمان کی مثال کھیتی کی طرح ہے کہ کھیت پر بھی ہمیشہ ہوائیں چل کر اسے ہلاتی رہتی ہیں اور مسلمان پر بھی ہمیشہ مصیبتیں آتی رہتی ہیں۔ اور منافق کی مثال صنوبر کے درخت کی طرح ہے جو خود حرکت نہیں کرتا بلکہ اسے جڑ سے اکھیڑ دیا جاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Musalman ki misal kheti ki tarah hai ke khet par bhi hamesha hawaen chal kar use hilati rehti hain aur Musalman par bhi hamesha musibaten aati rehti hain. Aur munafiq ki misal sanobar ke darakht ki tarah hai jo khud harkat nahin karta balkeh use jadh se ukhaad diya jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ الزَّرْعِ، لَا تَزَالُ الرِّيحُ تُمِيلُهُ، وَلَا يَزَالُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يُصِيبُهُ الْبَلَاءُ، وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَشَجَرَةِ الْأَرْزَةِ، لَا تَهْتَزُّ حَتَّى تُسْتَحْصَدَ".
