Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7193
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: People will abandon Madinah, despite its excellence, until it is deserted except for wild animals and birds. Eventually, two shepherds from the tribe of Muzainah will come herding their sheep and upon reaching there, they will find wild animals. They will continue until when they reach a valley called Thaniyyat-ul-Wida, they will fall down on their faces (dead).

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: لوگ مدینہ منورہ کو بہترین حالت میں ہونے کے باوجود ایک وقت میں آ کر چھوڑ دیں گے اور وہاں صرف درندے اور پرندے رہ جائیں گے آخر میں وہاں قبیلہ مزینہ کے دو چرواہے جمع ہوں گے جو اپنی بکریوں کو ہانکتے ہوئے لے جا رہے ہوں گے۔ لیکن وہاں پہنچ کر وحشی جانوروں کو پائیں گے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ثنیتہ الوداع نامی گھاٹی پر پہنچیں گے تو اپنے چہروں کے بل گرپڑیں گے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Log Madina Munawwara ko behtarin halat mein hone ke bawajood ek waqt mein aa kar chhor denge aur wahan sirf darinde aur parinde reh jayenge aakhir mein wahan qabeela Mazeena ke do charwahe jama honge jo apni bakriyon ko hankte hue le ja rahe honge. Lekin wahan pahunch kar vahshi janwaron ko payenge. Yahan tak ki jab wo Saniyat-ul-Wida naam ghati par pahunchenge to apne chehron ke bal gir parainge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" يَتْرُكُونَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى خَيْرِ مَا كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ، لَا يَغْشَاهَا إِلَّا الْعَوَافِي، قَالَ: يُرِيدُ عَوَافِيَ السِّبَاعِ وَالطَّيْرِ، وَآخِرُ مَنْ يُحْشَرُ رَاعِيَانِ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ، يَنْعِقَانِ لِغَنَمِهِمَا، فَيَجِدَاهَا وُحُوشًا، حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَا ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ، حُشِرَا عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمَا، أَوْ خَرَّا عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمَا".
