The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7349
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when any of you puts on shoes, he should begin with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should first take off the left. And if the strap of one of your shoes breaks, then do not walk wearing only one shoe, but rather take off both or put on both.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے موقوفاً مروی ہے کہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص جوتی پہنے تو دائیں پاؤں سے ابتداء کرے اور جب اتارے تو پہلے بائیں پاوں کی اتارے نیز یہ کہ اگر تم میں سے کسی کی جوتی کا تسمہ ٹوٹ جائے تو وہ صرف ایک جوتی پہن کر نہ پھرے بلکہ دونوں اتار دے یا دونوں پہن لے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se mauqoofan marvi hai ki tum mein se koi shakhs joti pehne to dayen paon se ibtida kare aur jab utare to pehle baen paon ki utare neez yeh ki agar tum mein se kisi ki joti ka tasma toot jaye to woh sirf ek joti pehen kar na phire balki donon utar de ya donon pehen le.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «لا يمش أحدكم في نعل واحدة، لِيُنْعِلهما جميعًا، أو لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جميعًا»
