Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7433
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "War booty was not made lawful for any people before you who had black hair on their heads. A fire used to descend from the sky and consume it. When the Battle of Badr approached, the people hastened to gather the spoils. So Allah revealed this verse: 'And (know) that whatever booty you take, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you believe in Allah and in that which We revealed to Our servant on the day of distinction, the day on which the two parties met.' (8:41) [The verse means] Had Allah not already decreed (that the booty should be theirs), a severe torment would have seized you for what you took." Now eat (of the booty which Allah has bestowed upon you) lawful and good.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تم سے پہلے کسی کالے سر والی قوم کے لئے مال غنیمت کو حلال قرار نہیں دیا گیا بلکہ آسمان سے ایک آگ اترتی تھی اور وہ اس سارے مال غنیمت کو کھا جاتی تھی جب غزوہ بدر کا موقع آیا تو لوگ مال غنیمت کے حصول میں جلدی دکھانے لگے اس پر اللہ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی کہ اگر اللہ نے پہلے سے فیصلہ نہ کر رکھا ہوتا تو تم نے جو مال غنیمت حاصل کیا اس کی وجہ سے تمہیں بہت بڑا عذاب چھوتا اب جو تم نے مال غنیمت حاصل کیا ہے اسے حلال و طیب سمجھ کر کھالو۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum se pehle kisi kale sar wali qaum ke liye maal ghanimat ko halal qarar nahi diya gaya balkeh aasman se ek aag utarti thi aur woh is sare maal ghanimat ko kha jati thi jab ghazwa badr ka mauqa aya to log maal ghanimat ke husool mein jaldi dikhane lage is par Allah ne yeh ayat nazil farmaya keh agar Allah ne pehle se faisla na kar rakha hota to tum ne jo maal ghanimat hasil kya is ki wajah se tumhen bahut bada azab chuta ab jo tum ne maal ghanimat hasil kya hai ise halal o tayyab samajh kar khao.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَمْ تَحِلَّ الْغَنَائِمُ لِقَوْمٍ سُودِ الرُّءُوسِ قَبْلَكُمْ، كَانَتْ تَنْزِلُ النَّارُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، فَتَأْكُلُهَا كَانَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، أَسْرَعَ النَّاسُ فِي الْغَنَائِمِ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: لَوْلا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ فَكُلُوا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلالا طَيِّبًا سورة الأنفال آية 68 - 69".
