Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7667
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When one of you leads the people in prayer, he should shorten it, because among them there are the sick, the weak and those having needs (i.e. travelling, business, etc).

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص امام بن کر نماز پڑھایا کرے تو ہلکی نماز پڑھایا کرے کیونکہ نمازیوں میں عمر رسیدہ کمزور اور اہل حاجت سب ہی ہوتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab tum mein se koi shakhs Imam bankar namaz parhaye kare to halki namaz parhaye kare kyunki namazon mein umar raseedah kamzor aur ehl e hajat sab hi hote hain.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، وأَبي سَلَمة ، أو أحدهما، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ بِالنَّاسِ، فَلْيُخَفِّفْ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ، وَالشَّيْخَ الْكَبِيرَ، وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ" .
