Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7754
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) designated the area between the two corners of Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary. Therefore, even if I were to see wolves in Madinah Munawwarah, I would not fear them, and the Prophet (PBUH) designated a radius of twelve miles around Madinah as a prohibited area.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے مدینہ منورہ کے دونوں کونوں کے درمیان کی جگہ کو حرم قرار دیا ہے اس لئے اگر میں مدینہ منورہ میں ہر نوں کو دیکھ بھی لوں تب بھی انہیں نہ ڈراؤں اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے مدینہ کے آس پاس بارہ میل کی جگہ کو چرا گاہ قرار دیا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Madina Munawwara ke donon konon ke darmiyaan ki jagah ko haram qarar diya hai is liye agar mein Madina Munawwara mein sher ko dekh bhi loon tab bhi unhen na daraunga aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Madina ke aas paas barah meel ki jagah ko charagah qarar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ" . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: فَلَوْ وَجَدْتُ الظِّبَاءَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا، وَجَعَلَ حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ مِيلًا حِمًى.
