Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7776
It is narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the death of Negus (Ashama ibn Abjar), while he was in Medina. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) lined up behind the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the funeral prayer for Negus and said four Takbeers in it.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے نجاشی کی موت کی اطلاع صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ کو دی حالانکہ وہ خود مدینہ منورہ میں تھے چنانچہ صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے صفیں باندھ لیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور اس میں چار تکبیرات کہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Najashi ki mout ki ittila Sahaba Kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko di halanki woh khud Madina Munawwara mein the chunancha Sahaba Kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche safen bandh len Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unki namaz janaza parhayi aur usme char takbeerat kahen.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، وأَبي سَلَمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: " نَعَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ لِأَصْحَابِهِ وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَصَفُّوا خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا" .
