Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7867
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin your charity with those who are under your care.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اوپر والا ہاتھ نیچے والے ہاتھ سے بہتر ہوتا ہے اور تم صدقات و خیرات میں ان لوگوں سے ابتداء کرو جو تمہاری ذمہ داری میں آتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya upar wala hath neeche wale hath se behtar hota hai aur tum sadqaat o khairat mein un logon se ibtida karo jo tumhari zimmedari mein aate hain.
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ" .
