Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7883
Muhammad bin Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Someone asked Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that bad omens are found in three things: a house, a horse, and a woman?" He said, "If I were to answer that in the affirmative, I would be attributing to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) something that he did not say. However, I did hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that the truest omen is a good omen, and that the evil eye is real."

محمد بن قیس رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ کسی نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کیا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ بدشگونی تین چیزوں میں ہوتی ہے گھر میں۔ گھوڑے میں۔ عورت میں انہوں نے فرمایا اگر میں اثبات میں اس کا جواب دوں تو نبی کریم ﷺ کی طرف ایسی بات کی نسبت کروں گا جو انہوں نے نہیں فرمائی البتہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ سب سے سچا شگون فال ہے اور نظر لگنا برحق ہے۔
Muhammad bin Qais Rahmatullah Alaih kehte hain ki kisi ne Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se poocha kya aap ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai ki badshagooni teen cheezon mein hoti hai ghar mein, ghore mein, aurat mein. Unhon ne farmaya agar mein isbat mein iska jawab dun to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki taraf aisi baat ki nisbat karunga jo unhon ne nahi farmai. Albatta maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai ki sab se sacha shagun fal hai aur nazar lagna barhaq hai.
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ هل سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الطِّيَرَةُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ: فِي الْمَسْكَنِ، وَالْفَرَسِ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: إِذاً أَقُولَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ، وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " أَصْدَقُ الطِّيَرَةِ الْفَأْلُ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ" .
