Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7906
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with a black slave girl of non-Arab origin and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it is obligatory upon me to free a Muslim slave (can I free this one?)." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the slave girl, "Where is Allah?" She pointed her index finger towards the sky. Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked her, "Who am I?" She pointed her finger towards the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and then towards the sky, meaning that you are the Messenger of Allah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Set her free."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس ایک سیاہ فام عجمی لونڈی لے کر آیا اور کہنے لگا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ میرے ذمے ایک مسلمان غلام کو آزاد کرنا واجب ہے (کیا میں اسے آزاد کرسکتا ہوں؟) نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس باندی سے پوچھا اللہ کہاں ہے؟ اس نے اپنی شہادت والی انگلی سے آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کیا پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس سے پوچھا میں کون ہوں؟ اس نے اپنی انگلی سے نبی کریم ﷺ کی طرف اور آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کیا جس کا مطلب یہ تھا کہ آپ اللہ کے رسول ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اسے آزاد کردو۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik aadmi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aik siyah faam ajmi laundi lekar aaya aur kehne laga Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mere zimme ek musalman gulam ko azad karna wajib hai (kya main ise azad kar sakta hun?) Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us bandi se pucha Allah kahan hai? Usne apni shahadat wali ungli se aasman ki taraf ishara kiya phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us se pucha main kaun hun? Usne apni ungli se Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki taraf aur aasman ki taraf ishara kiya jis ka matlab ye tha ki aap Allah ke Rasul hain Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ise azad kar do.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِجَارِيَةٍ سَوْدَاءَ أَعْجَمِيَّةٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ عَلَيَّ عِتْقَ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ. فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَيْنَ اللَّهُ؟"، فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ بِإِصْبَعِهَا السَّبَّابَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهَا:" مَنْ أَنَا؟"، فَأَشَارَتْ بِإِصْبَعِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ، أَيْ أَنْتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ:" أَعْتِقْهَا" .
