Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7978
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I hope that if my life is prolonged, I will meet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him. But if the message of my departure comes first, then whoever among you meets him, convey my Salam (greetings of peace) to him.”

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا امید ہے کہ اگر میری عمر طویل ہوئی تو میری ملاقات حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام سے ہوجائے گی لیکن میری رخصت کا پیغام پہلے آجائے گا تو تم میں سے جس کی بھی ان کے ساتھ ملاقات ہو وہ انہیں میرا سلام پہنچا دے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya umeed hai keh agar meri umar tawil hui tou meri mulaqat Hazrat Isa alaihissalam se hojae gi lakin meri rukhsat ka paigham pehle ajaye ga tou tum mein se jis ki bhi un ke sath mulaqat ho wo unhen mera salam pohancha de.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ " إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو إِنْ طَالَتْ بِي حَيَاةٌ أَنْ أُدْرِكَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ، فَإِنْ عَجِلَ بِي مَوْتٌ، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيُقْرِئْهُ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ" .
