Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8083
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said, "The Jews and Christians do not dye their hair with henna and other such things, so oppose them." Imam Zahri (RA) said, "I like black dye very much," and Ma'mar said, "Imam Zahri (RA) used to apply black dye."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا یہود و نصاریٰ اپنے بالوں کو مہندی وغیرہ سے نہیں رنگتے سو تم ان کی مخالفت کرو۔ امام زہری رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے سیاہ خضاب بہت پسند ہے اور معمر کہتے ہیں کہ امام زہری رحمہ اللہ سیاہ خضاب لگاتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ . وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى لَا يَصْبُغُونَ، فَخَالِفُوهُمْ" . قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْأَصْبَاغِ، فَأَحْلَكُهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَكَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ يَخْضِبُ بِالسَّوَادِ.
