The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8160
And the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Reciting the Psalms was made easy for Prophet David (peace be upon him). He would order the saddle to be placed on his mount, and before it was saddled, he would have finished reciting the Book (of Psalms). And he would eat only from the work of his own hands."

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا حضرت داؤدعلیہ السلام پر قرأت کو ہلکا پھلکا کردیا گیا تھا چنانچہ وہ اپنی سواری پر زین کسنے کا حکم دیتے اور زین کسے جانے سے پہلے کتاب (زبور) پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے اور وہ صرف اپنے ہاتھ کی کمائی کھاتے تھے۔
aur nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya hazrat daud alaihissalam par qirat ko halka phulka kar diya gaya tha chunancha woh apni sawari par zin kasne ka hukm dete aur zin kase jane se pehle kitab zaboor parh liya karte the aur woh sirf apne hath ki kamai khate the
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خُفِّفَتْ عَلَى دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام الْقِرَاءَةُ، فَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِدَابَّتِهِ فَتُسْرَجُ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُسْرَجَ دَابَّتُهُ، وَكَانَ لَا يَأْكُلُ إِلَّا مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدَيْهِ" .
