The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8189
And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should wish for death, nor should he pray for it before it comes to him. For when any one of you dies, his deeds come to an end, while the believer goes on increasing his good deeds as long as he lives."

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی شخص موت کی تمنانہ کرے اور موت آنے سے قبل اس کی دعانہ کرے کیونکہ تم میں سے کوئی بھی جب مرجاتا ہے تو اس کے اعمال منقطع ہوجاتے ہیں جبکہ مومن اپنی زندگی میں خیر ہی کا اضافہ کرتا ہے۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum mein se koi shakhs mout ki tamanna kare aur mout aane se pehle uski dua na kare kyunki tum mein se koi bhi jab marta hai to uske amal munqata hojate hain jabke momin apni zindagi mein khair hi ka izafa karta hai.
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَتَمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَوْتَ وَلَا يَدْعُ بِهِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ، إِنَّهُ إِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدُكُمْ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ، وَإِنَّهُ لَا يَزِيدُ الْمُؤْمِنُ عُمُرُه إِلَّا خَيْرًا" .
