The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)

مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8235

And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When the Imam is delivering the Friday sermon and you tell your companion to be quiet, you have engaged in idle talk.


Grade: Sahih

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا امام جب وقت جمعہ کا خطبہ دے رہا ہو اور تم اپنے ساتھی کو صرف یہ کہو کہ خاموش رہو تو تم نے لغو کام کیا۔

aur nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya imam jab waqt juma ka khutba de raha ho aur tum apne saathi ko sirf ye kaho ke khamosh raho to tum ne laghu kaam kiya.

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِذَا قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ: أَنْصِتُوا، وَهُمْ يَتَكَلَّمُونَ، فَقَدْ أَلْغَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ" .
