The Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنه
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8238
And the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A Prophet set out for Jihad. He said to his people: 'Let no man go with me who has married a woman and has not yet been intimate with her, and now he desires to be intimate, or a man who has built a building but has not yet put its roof on, or a man who has bought goats or pregnant she-camels and is waiting for them to give birth.'" So saying, he set out and reached that town (where they were to fight the enemy) at the time of the Asr prayer, or thereabouts. He said to the sun, "You are subject to the command of Allah, and I am subject to the command of Allah. O Allah, detain it in its place for a while." So the sun remained in its place until Allah granted them victory. They gathered the spoils of war. Fire came to burn it but did not burn it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "One of you has committed treachery with regard to the spoils of war. Therefore, let one man from each tribe come and pledge allegiance to me." All the people pledged allegiance, and the hand of one man stuck to his hand. He said, "You have committed treachery with regard to the spoils of war." So they brought out gold equal to a cow's head and put it in the spoils of war, which was gathered on a small piece of cloth. The fire came and consumed it. Before us, it was not lawful for anyone to use the spoils of war. Allah saw our weakness and humility, so He made it lawful for us.

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک نبی جہاد کے لئے روانہ ہوئے انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ میرے ساتھ وہ آدمی نہ جائے جس نے کسی عورت سے نکاح کیا ہو ابھی تک رخصتی نہ ہوئی ہو اور وہ اب رخصتی چاہتا ہو یا وہ آدمی جس نے کوئی عمارت تعمیر کی ہو مگر ابھی تک اس کی چھت نہ ڈالی ہو یا وہ آدمی جس نے بکریاں یا امید کی اونٹنیاں خریدی ہو اور وہ ان کے یہاں بچے پیدا ہونے کے منتظر ہو یہ کہہ کر وہ روانہ ہوئے اور نماز عصر کے وقت یا اس کے قریب قریب اس بستی میں پہنچے (جہاں انہوں نے دشمن سے جنگ کرنا تھی) انہوں نے سورج سے کہا کہ تو بھی اللہ کے حکم کا پابند ہے اور میں بھی اللہ کے حکم کا پابند ہوں اے اللہ اسے کچھ دیر کے لئے اپنی جگہ پر محبوس فرما دے چنانچہ سورج اپنی جگہ ٹھہرا رہا یہاں تک کہ اللہ نے انہیں فتح سے ہمکنار کردیا انہوں نے مال غنیمت اکٹھا کیا آگ اسے جلانے کے لئے آئی لیکن اسے جلایا نہیں پیغمبر وقت نے فرمایا تم میں سے کسی نے مال غنیمت میں خیانت کی ہے اس لئے ہر قبیلے کا ایک ایک آدمی آ کر میرے ہاتھ پر بیعت کرے سب لوگوں نے بیعت کی تو ایک آدمی کا ہاتھ ان کے ہاتھ کے ساتھ چپک گئے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ تم نے مال غنیمت میں خیانت کی ہے چنانچہ انہوں نے گائے کی سری کے برابر سونا نکالا اور اسے مال غنیمت میں ڈال دیا جو ایک چبوترے پر جمع تھا آگ آئی اور اسے کھا گئی ہم سے پہلے کسی کے لئے مال غنیمت کو استعمال کرنا حلال نہ تھا یہ تو اللہ نے ہماری کمزوری اور عاجزی دیکھی تو ہمارے لئے اسے حلال کردیا۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ek Nabi jihad ke liye rawana huye unhon ne apni qaum se kaha ke mere sath wo aadmi na jaye jisne kisi aurat se nikah kiya ho abhi tak rukhsati na hui ho aur wo ab rukhsati chahta ho ya wo aadmi jis ne koi imarat tameer ki ho magar abhi tak uski chhat na dali ho ya wo aadmi jis ne bakriyan ya umeed ki untniyan kharidi hon aur wo unke yahan bachche paida hone ke muntazir ho ye keh kar wo rawana huye aur namaz asr ke waqt ya uske kareeb kareeb us basti mein pahunche jahan unhon ne dushman se jung karna thi Unhon ne Suraj se kaha ke tu bhi Allah ke hukum ka paband hai aur main bhi Allah ke hukum ka paband hun aye Allah ise kuch der ke liye apni jagah par mahboos farma de chunancha Suraj apni jagah thahra raha yahan tak ke Allah ne unhen fatah se humkinar kardiya unhon ne mal ghanimat ikatha kiya aag ise jalane ke liye aai lekin ise jalaya nahin Paighambar waqt ne farmaya tum mein se kisi ne mal ghanimat mein khiyanat ki hai isliye har qabile ka ek ek aadmi aakar mere hath par bai't kare sab logon ne bai't ki to ek aadmi ka hath unke hath ke sath chipak gaye unhon ne farmaya ke tumne mal ghanimat mein khiyanat ki hai chunancha unhon ne gaaye ki sri ke barabar sona nikala aur ise mal ghanimat mein daal diya jo ek chabootre par jama tha aag aai aur ise kha gayi hum se pehle kisi ke liye mal ghanimat ko istemal karna halal na tha ye to Allah ne hamari kamzori aur aajzi dekhi to hamare liye ise halal kardiya.
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " غَزَا نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ، فَقَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ: لَا يَتَّبِعْنِي رَجُلٌ قَدْ مَلَكَ بُضْعَ امْرَأَةٍ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ بِهَا وَلَمَّا يَبْنِ، وَلَا أَحَدٌ قَدْ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا وَلَمَّا يَرْفَعْ سُقُفَهَا، وَلَا أَحَدٌ قَدْ اشْتَرَى غَنَمًا أَوْ خَلِفَاتٍ وَهُوَ يَنْتَظِرُ أَوْلَادَهَا. فَغَزَا فَدَنَا مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ حِينَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ لِلشَّمْسِ: أَنْتِ مَأْمُورَةٌ وَأَنَا مَأْمُورٌ، اللَّهُمَّ احْبِسْهَا عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا، فَحُبِسَتْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَجَمَعُوا مَا غَنِمُوا، فَأَقْبَلَتْ النَّارُ لِتَأْكُلَهُ، فَأَبَتْ أَنْ تَطْعَمَ، فَقَالَ: فِيكُمْ غُلُولٌ، فَلْيُبَايِعْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ قَبِيلَةٍ رَجُلٌ، فَبَايَعُوهُ، فَلَصِقَتْ يَدُ رَجُلٍ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَالَ: فِيكُمْ الْغُلُولُ، فَلْتُبَايِعْنِي قَبِيلَتُكَ، قال: فَبَايَعَتْهُ قَبِيلَتُهُ، فَلَصِقَ بِيَدِ رَجُلَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَالَ: فِيكُمْ الْغُلُولُ، أَنْتُمْ غَلَلْتُمْ، فَأَخْرَجُوا لَهُ مِثْلَ رَأْسِ بَقَرَةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، قَالَ: فَوَضَعُوهُ فِي الْمَالِ وَهُوَ بِالصَّعِيدِ، فَأَقْبَلَتْ النَّارُ فَأَكَلَتْهُ، فَلَمْ تَحِلَّ الْغَنَائِمُ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا، ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ رَأَى ضَعْفَنَا وَعَجْزَنَا، فَطَيَّبَهَا لَنَا" .
