Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8327
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out for the prayer for rain and led us in two rak'ahs without Adhan and Iqamah. Then he delivered the sermon and kept supplicating to Allah, and turned his face towards the Qibla, raising his hands. After a while, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reversed his shawl, placing what was on his right shoulder onto his left, and what was on his left shoulder onto his right.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ایک مرتبہ نماز استسقاء کے لئے باہر نکلے اور بغیر اذان و اقامت کے ہمیں دو رکعتیں پڑھائیں پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا اور اللہ سے دعاء کرتے رہے اور اپنا چہرہ قبلے کی جانب پھیرلیا ہاتھ بلند کر لئے تھوڑی دیر بعد آپ ﷺ نے اپنی چادر پلٹ لی اور دائیں کندھے پر اور بائیں کو نے کو دائیں کندھے پر رکھ لیا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aik martaba namaz istisqa ke liye bahar nikle aur baghair azan o iqamat ke hamen do rakatain parhaeen phir khutba irshad farmaya aur Allah se dua karte rahe aur apna chehra qibla ki jaanib phair liya hath buland kar liye thori dair baad Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni chadar palat li aur daen kandhe par aur baen kone ko daen kandhe par rakh liya.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَن ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا يَسْتَسْقِي، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِلَا أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا وَدَعَا اللَّه عز وجلَّّّّّّّّّ، وَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَافِعًا يَدَهُ، ثُمَّ قَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ، فَجَعَلَ الْأَيْمَنَ عَلَى الْأَيْسَرِ، وَالْأَيْسَرَ عَلَى الْأَيْمَنِ" .
