Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8483
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), once someone asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, who is the best of mankind?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Myself and my companions, then those who will come after us, then those who will come after them." After this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left them.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ کسی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا یارسول اللہ ﷺ سب سے بہتر انسان کون ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا میں اور میرے ساتھی اس کے بعد وہ لوگ جو ہمارے بعد ہوں گے پھر وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوں گے اس بعد نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں چھوڑ دیا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba kisi ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sab se behtar insan kaun hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya main aur mere saathi uske baad wo log jo humare baad honge phir wo log jo unke baad honge is baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen chhor diya.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْعَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَنَا وَالَّذِينَ مَعِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ عَلَى الْأَثَرِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ عَلَى الْأَثَرِ" ثُمَّ كَأَنَّهُ رَفَضَ مَنْ بَقِيَ.
