Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8554
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), in interpreting the Quranic verse about the women who cut their hands, said: "If I were to be imprisoned for as long as Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) (peace be upon him) was, and then offered release, I would accept it immediately and not make any excuses."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے آیت قرآنی ان عورتوں کا کیا معاملہ ہے جنہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ کاٹ لئے تھے کی تفسیر میں فرمایا: کہ اگر میں اتناعرصہ جیل میں رہتا جتنا عرصہ حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام رہے تھے پھر مجھے نکلنے کی پیشکش ہوتی تو میں اسی وقت قبول کرلیتا اور کوئی عذر تلاش نہ کرتا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah RA se marvi hai keh Nabi SAW ne ayat Qurani in auraton ka kya mamla hai jinhon ne apne hath kat liye the ki tafseer mein farmaya: keh agar main itna arsa jail mein rehta jitna arsa Hazrat Yusuf AS rahe the phir mujhe nikalne ki pesh kash hoti to main usi waqt qubool kar leta aur koi uzr talash na karta.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عزَّ وجلَََََََََِّ: فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ سورة يوسف آية 50، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم: " لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنَا، لَأَسْرَعْتُ الْإِجَابَةَ وَمَا ابْتَغَيْتُ الْعُذْرَ" .
